Located at 1524 South Coast Highway in Laguna Beach, California, “the cottage” was built as a home in 1930 when PCH was just a dirt road. A perfect setting for art, the gallery is filled with natural light and has open beam ceilings, natural wood floors, a large front room fireplace, and a spacious outdoor patio surrounded by woods.
“It is not serendipitous that this gallery has such a unique, welcoming feel. I wanted a space that was inviting and not snobbish; one that allows visitors to relax and enjoy art without pretense” remarks Nancy Stubbs, who became owner of the property and established the gallery in late 2009. Ms. Stubbs quickly became active in the community and is now Director of the First Thursday’s Art Walk. She is focused on establishing a gallery identified with consistent quality.
To this end the Cottage Gallery has just been restructured through the efforts of the recently appointed Gallery Director, Mr. Adam Sandy and resident maritime artist William A. “Bill” Hudson.
